Howl Brewing – Kartoffellbier, A light refreshing historic German potato ale. Made with BC grown Pilsner and Pale malted barley along with butterball potatoes from Sweet Beans farm in Metchosin. 5% Alc, 18 IBU
Philips Brewery – Glitterbomb Hazy Pale Ale. This hazy pale ale explodes with lush citrus and juicy fruit notes that sparkle across your palate. Pairs well with disco naps and scooby snacks. 5% Alc.
Hoyne – Helios Dortmunder – Helios is the second pillar in our devotion to fine lagers, inspired by a nearly extinct style of beer originating in Dortmund, Ruhr Valley, Germany. A robust, malt forward, export strength lager that is complex yet subtle, Helios reaches maturity after four to six weeks of aging. As it ages, it improves, developing into a true classic, time honoured lager. It is always a favourite amongst our brewers!
Phillips Brewery – Tilt Lager – an off the wall, straight up, flippin’ awesome lager. Craft brewed for maximum drinkability, Tilt is well-balanced and will leave you wanting to play again and again.
Hoyne Svec Czech Half Dark Lager – our interpretation of the Czech answer to the famous amber hued Austrian lagers: strikingly bold, yet elegant and refined.
Driftwood Brewery – Driftwood Pale Ale – Our homage to the roots of craft beer renaissance, this eponymous pale ale sets the Northwest character of Centennial hops upon a stage of clean Canadian malted barley. A timeless classic!
Phillips Brewery – Tilt Light Lager – A Crisp and clean with a fast, brisk, finish that lends to crushable enjoyment, its lighter in style and flavour, soft and subtle flavors of malt and floral, citrussy hops are perfectly balanced for a finish that is crisp and clean for easy drinkability, an all-day kind of beer. 3.8% Alc.
Hoyne Pilsner – our best selling beer. Here’s a note from Brewer Sean Hoyne:
“I have always believed that a beautifully balanced Pilsner is the highest expression of the Brewmaster’s art. When perfection is achieved, it delivers a subtle and exquisite beer that stands alone with quiet confidence. Hoyne Pilsner is the culmination of over 30 years of my long love of making fine lagers – an authentic European beer that is very much worth waiting for.
Because of my deep respect for the Eastern European history of brewing Pilsners, we have gone to great lengths to emulate these fine beers. Of course, we use hops from the Czech Republic (who doesn’t?), but we also bring in our malted barley from two different malt houses near Heidelberg, Germany. Perhaps most importantly, we ferment this beer at cool temperatures and let it age for a minimum of six weeks. The clarity that is obtained is the result of this prolonged aging time, not through filtration of any sort. The result is a crisp, clean, flavourful Pilsner where one is rarely enough. Prost! Sean”
